Game Season & Update Cycle Guide

Understanding each game's season structure and update cadence makes it easy to plan ahead.

⚔️ League of Legends (LoL)

The ranked season runs once per year — typically starting in early January and ending in late November. Patches ship every two weeks in YY.N format (e.g., 25.10). Traffic spikes dramatically as the season nears its end when players rush to hit their rank targets. Official end-date announcements appear on the LoL website roughly two weeks before the cutoff. Since the introduction of splits, each split's end date is also worth tracking.

🌟 Genshin Impact

Version updates follow a strict 6-week cycle. Versions are numbered X.Y (e.g., 5.5, 5.6). Each version includes a first-half and second-half limited character banner. On patch day, a ~5-hour maintenance window grants primogem compensation. The next version date is predictable: current version end + 6 weeks.

🎯 PUBG: Battlegrounds

Ranked seasons last approximately 8 weeks (~2 months). At season end, rank rewards are distributed and standings reset. A mid-season update is released roughly halfway through. Watch the official PUBG website and in-game notices for exact dates.

⚽ FC Online

Events run monthly on a rolling schedule. Key dates to watch: player card enhancement events, limited pick-up packs, and updates tied to real-world football competitions (Champions League, domestic leagues). Transfer market card updates are concentrated in January–February and July–August, mirroring real football transfer windows.

⚡ Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ)

As a HoYoverse title, ZZZ uses the same 6-week update cycle as Genshin Impact. Versions are numbered X.Y. Each version features a first-half and second-half agent banner. Don't miss the Inter-Knot event windows — they are typically time-limited.
